Pet Surgery at Our Facility

We have a fully-equipped surgical suite with state-of-the art anesthetic monitoring equipment to ensure optimal anesthetic safety for your pet. Our veterinarians and veterinary technicians have extensive training and the necessary tools to perform successful surgical procedures . Whether it's for a spay or neuter or an emergency surgery for an injury, illness, or ongoing condition, you can count on us to give you the very best service for the best outcome. In some cases, when it is in your pets best interest to see a dedicated surgical specialist, we have long-standing relationships with local experts and we will ensure your pet gets the care they need.

What to Expect

Prior to surgery, we want to ensure that your pet is a good candidate for anesthesia and that we identify any risks that could cause anesthetic complications. In order for us to get a complete picture of your pets overall medical health, we will perform a complete physical examination and preanesthetic diagnostic testing.

Anesthetic procedures are performed Monday through Friday. Please fast your pet prior to any surgical or anesthetic procedure – water is okay but no food after midnight the night before the surgery. Surgical patients need to be dropped off between 8am-9am. The morning of the procedure, you will meet with our surgical team to review any questions you may have regarding the procedure.

Once your pet has been moved into recovery, we will call you with an update and to schedule a discharge time. At the time of discharge, you will receive written discharge instructions that will have all after care instructions, medications that your pet will be taking, diet and exercise recommendations and an appointment for a post surgical recheck.
